Grow Your Career. Help Farmers Grow Theirs.
Agricultural Consultant – Central Susquehanna Valley, Pennsylvania
Territory: Central Susquehanna Valley, serving agricultural operations on both sides of the Susquehanna River.
At Rosetree Consulting, we believe great agronomy is about more than crop recommendations. It’s about helping farmers make informed decisions through science, communication, and service.
For more than 15 years, we’ve partnered with producers across Pennsylvania to improve crop production, nutrient management, soil health, and long-term farm sustainability. Our consultants build trusted relationships by listening first, asking thoughtful questions, and providing practical recommendations grounded in research and real-world experience.
If you’re passionate about agriculture, enjoy solving problems, and find purpose in helping others succeed, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do
As an Agricultural Consultant, you’ll become a trusted advisor to the farmers you serve. Your work will include:
- Walking corn, soybean, alfalfa, and other row crop fields throughout the growing season.
- Monitoring crop health, weeds, insects, and diseases.
- Helping producers understand field observations, treatment thresholds, and management options.
- Collecting soil, manure, and tissue samples.
- Developing annual crop management recommendations.
- Supporting precision agriculture and soil health initiatives.
- Building long-term relationships with farm families throughout your territory.
- Collaborating with an experienced team of consultants to solve challenges and share knowledge.
Who We’re Looking For
Technical knowledge matters. Character matters even more. We’re looking for someone who is:
- Naturally curious
- Self-motivated
- A strong communicator
- Passionate about agriculture
- Comfortable working independently
- Committed to outstanding client service
- Excited to continue learning throughout their career
Many of our most successful consultants joined Rosetree after gaining experience elsewhere in the agriculture industry. They knew what they enjoyed most about their work and were looking for a role that allowed them to build trusted relationships, continue learning, and make a meaningful impact on the farms they serve.
Candidates with experience in agronomy, crop consulting, production agriculture, or conservation are encouraged to apply.
A farm background is a significant advantage because it provides valuable insight into farm operations and the realities of decision-making on family farms.
